How to Keep Clear Aligners Clean

Girl with her aligners. One of the great advantages of using aligners is that you can remove them for eating, brushing and flossing. Even if you have some attachments on your teeth to facilitate tooth movement you generally don't have to worry about breaking anything.

We recommend using an old tooth brush and liquid soap to clean the aligners to avoid scratching them and keeping them clear while you wear them. You can also use a peroxide and mouthwash soak for 5-10 minutes followed by the brushing of the inside of the aligners to be sure all plaque has been brushed away before replacing them back on your teeth.
